David O. Dodd Play Auditions

Kay Tatum of the U.D.C. Gen. T.J. Churchill Chapter in Little Rock received information regarding The Weekend Theater’s auditions for four of their winter and spring 2011 shows. Auditions will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 13th and at 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 14th. You need only attend one of those times. One of the plays is titled “Hanging of David O. Dodd”. The play is looking for 16 actors and several ‘extras’, because they will be filming the play on location, after the production on stage closes. They 16 actors with speaking roles are: one African American male, 12 White men, and 3 White females. There will be people of all races and genders among the “extras’. This film will be made available for educational purposes, but it may also be picked up for general distribution.
