The Sons of Confederate Veterans will meet this Tuesday evening, November 16 at 7:00 P.M. at the Watson Chapel Fire Station on Sulphur Springs Rd. 3 miles west of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The agenda will include discussions on preparations of the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War in South Arkansas. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will include Civil War literature and Arkansas Civil War relics. The public is invited to attend and voice their ideas and opinions.

There will also be a roundtable discussion on the history and heritage of Pine Bluff during the Civil War at the Jefferson County Museum on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 6:30 P.M. Mrs. Lori Walker from the Pine Bluff Economic Development office will lead discussions on the preparations of the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War in Jefferson County. The public is encouraged to attend this meeting, as the role that Heritage Tourism will play over the next 5 years in revitalizing Pine Bluff is top priority.
