Sesquicentennial Battle of Carthage Reenactment Information:

May 13, 14, 15, 2011

Campsite will be Municipal Park in Carthage. Hay, straw, and firewood provided.

$100 powder bounty for first seven artillery pieces to register.
(After the first seven pieces, bounty is at our discretion, if funds
available.)

On site registration starts Friday afternoon. Free admission to MCWRA members. (Non-members pay $10 insurance fee).
No unaffiliated walk-ons allowed – participants must be a member of a registered unit.

Saturday Battle will be in downtown Carthage, street to street fighting (as happened in the actual 1861 battle).

Saturday night dance. Other activities will be scheduled.

We are pleased and excited to inform you that the Sunday Battle will be a reenactor only battle on a 1,000 acre pristine site.
