Civil War School Programs -Prelude to Prairie Grove: Fall 1862 in Little Rock
9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
The Old State House Museum will examine the political and military buildup to the Prairie Grove Campaign at this living history event. Costumed interpreters and reenactors will explore the everyday life of both civilians and soldiers. They will debate the political issues that engulfed the state during this critical year of the Civil War in Arkansas. The programs are appropriate for students 4th grade and above studying Arkansas or U.S. History. Teachers must make reservations for their students to participate.
